Watch the way

they

use their words as weapons

their pronouns as stones

their new ways a red wave

We the people 

does not include

they

the stones we cut from mountains

with hands we could not see,

surround us comfortably in Mount Vernon.

And in D.C.

someone should keep 

them

at bay or maybe behind bars.

As long as

they

refuse to leave 

our

streets and keep

our

humble homes from knowing peace.
